The following are closings and schedule changes in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday:

Government offices

Hattiesburg, Petal, Forrest County, Lamar County, Lumberton, Sumrall and Purvis: Closed today.

Schools

Hattiesburg, Petal, Forrest County, Forrest County Agricultural High School, Lamar County and Lumberton school districts: Closed today.

Pearl River Community College and Jones County Junior College: Closed today. Although day classes won’t be held, night classes will meet.

William Carey University: Closed today.

Garbage pickup

Hattiesburg: Today’s garbage pickup will be done on Tuesday and Tuesday’s pickup will be done Wednesday. Thursday and Friday pickup remain the same.

Petal, Lamar County, Lumberton, Sumrall and Purvis: No change in schedule.
