Police in Brooklyn are investigating after a 16-year-old girl was shot in the face early Sunday morning outside her apartment building.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. outside the Seth Low Houses on Belmont and Christopher Avenues in Brownsville.

The girl was taken to Brookdale University Hospital where she is listed in critical but stable condition.

Her name has not been released.

Residents at the scene tell NY1 they did hear some commotion last night, but were unaware of the details surrounding the shooting.

“I just heard shots, like always, it’s a lot going on at nighttime out here, it’s terrible, all times of night. I come out here at daytime. After a certain hour, I’m in my house,” said one resident.

No arrests have been made.
