Chamber of Commerce selling downtown office building

The Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce is selling its offices on East Front Street.
The 4,314-square-foot building, which houses the chamber and the Greater Statesville Development Corp., was put on the market Dec. 29 and is being listed by Tsumas Real Estate and Development for $372,840.
Chamber President David Bradley said the organization is looking for office space to lease, preferably downtown.
He said leasing a space would be cheaper than the overhead to maintain the current facility.
Chamber Board of Directors Chairman Doug Hendrix said few chambers — that he knows of — own their own office buildings.
Harry M. Tsumas, managing partner and owner of Tsumas Real Estate and Development, said the location of the building is particularly good for office space.
It is within walking distance of the City of Statesville and Iredell County government offices and many restaurants, Tsumas said.
“I think it is a good office spot for anybody who would like to be downtown,” he said.
