• Wilkinsburg peace march and rally, meets at 9:30 a.m., Wilkinsburg Church of the Nazarene, 300 Peebles St., goes to Wilkinsburg High School and ends at the Christian Church of Wilkinsburg, 748 Wallace Ave. for prayer service. Sponsored by the Wilkinsburg Ministerium Association.

• “Still Inspiring a Nation,” noon, Metropolitan Baptist Church, 22-24 Sampsonia St., North Side.

• Candlelight procession, 4:15 p.m, lobby, Purnell Center, Carnegie Mellon University.

• “The Economic Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,” 5 p.m., Rangos Hall, University Center, second floor, CMU. Keynote speaker: Julianne Malveaux, president of Bennett College for Women.

• “Let Freedom Sing!”, choral festival featuring guitarist Joe Negri and vocalist Vanessa German, 7 p.m., Franklin Regional High School, 3200 School Road, Murrysville.

• Candlelight vigil and discussion, 7:06 p.m., Cathedral of Learning; and Room 205, David L. Lawrence Hall, University of Pittsburgh.

• “Race and Diversity” lecture, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, assembly room, William Pitt Union, University of Pittsburgh. Speaker: Tim Wise.
