Thursday marks Burke County high schools’ fourth consecutive day off due to Monday’s snow, and the prep athletic schedule continues to change.

(Rescheduled events listed below are still subject to change based on when area schools finally re-open.)

The East Burke at Bandys basketball games scheduled for Thursday will be played tomorrow starting at 4 p.m. with the JV girls contest.

The Draughn/Newton-Conover basketball and wrestling matchups were postponed Tuesday. No makeup date has been announced yet.

East Burke and Maiden also called off both the basketball game and wrestling match slated for Tuesday, and there’s still no word on a rescheduling.

Tuesday’s SMAC swim meet in Morganton, which Freedom and Patton were to attend, has been cancelled and will not be made up.

Wednesday’s Patton at West Caldwell girls-only basketball game was also postponed. The non-conference matchup may not be rescheduled.

East Burke moved its swimming meet in Valdese against Newton-Conover and South Iredell from Wednesday to Friday immediately following Draughn’s four-team CVAC meet.
