Top mares add class to Globe Derby sale

Heading the list is the South Australia Oaks winner and Victoria Oaks placegetter Slaps, who is represented by a filly by the champion sire and Little Brown Jug winner Life Sign.

Other talented racemares with youngsters in the sale include the George Johnson winner Lisdon Jane 1:58.6TT, the metropolitan winners Grand Moulin Rouge 1:59.5 and Whata Dancer, Weowna Sheila 1:59.7, winner of the Gawler Oaks and 19 races, Paris Player 1:58.5TT, the Victoria Sires Stakes heat winner Windgrass, Loaded And Lethal 2:00 and Coronata (7 wins).

Twenty of the dams are winner producers and they have left 53 winners between them.

They include the mothers of ‘black type’ performers such as the Vicbred Super Series champions Elysees Crest 1:59.3 ($228,290) and Lombo La Paree ($112,085), the Breeders Crown champion Lombo Adreamin 1:56.8 ($337,575), and Let Memphis Loose, winner of last year’s SA Sale Graduate Pace.
