James Roy of Long Foster Real Estate, Inc. is the listing agent for the home. The Laneys paid $559,000 for the property in March 2006. The 2,112-square-foot house was built in 1941 in Takoma Park South of Carroll Ave.

Laney is senior operations manager for Africa Portfolio at Futures Group International, a trusted international development firm, as well as the principal owner of Local Consulting LLC, a management consulting services in Takoma Park.

She has a masters in international management and finance from the University of Maryland University College.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 117 home sales in Takoma Park during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $405,000.
