406 homes on the market in Fullerton

FULLERTON – California’s Residential Purchase Agreement is the standard form produced by the California Association of Realtors and used in nearly every real estate transaction in the state.

The contract is designed to protect both the buyer and the seller in the sale of a home. One section of the agreement relates to the seller’s duty to disclose “Known Material Facts and Defects” affecting the property and the buyer’s duty to investigate the property to their satisfaction through physical inspections, investigations and tests.

In both cases, each party to the contract must do its “due diligence” in the time frame allowed by the contract, or as mutually agreed upon. This is just one part of a multi-faceted contract designed to protect both the home seller and home purchaser.
