Mossberg’s List of Best Reviewed Products of 2010: iPad #1

Walt Mossberg, one of the most prominent tech journalists behind the Wall Street Journal tech blog All Things D, listed the iPad as his best reviewed product of the year.

The tech journalist considers the tablet an “amazing” device, thanks to its apps, and the features made available by iOS 4.2. According to Mossberg, the 4.2.1 update made the iPad a “whole new product,” and helped the device reach the top position.

The second spot on his list was given to 4G networks, namely WiMAX (Clear) and LTE (ATT, Verizon), which should help alleviate the high loads and get rid of the bottlenecks the overwhelmed 3G networks are experiencing on a regular basis nowadays.

The third place was given to both Samsung Galaxy S and iPhone 4, as the Galaxy S “is representative of the powerful force that Android has become within the smartphone marketplace,” while the iPhone 4 is “still the best overall smartphone,” despite the antenna issues the phone experienced soon after its launch.

But only a few devices are actually praised by Mossberg: at the bottom of his list, the Dell Streak got the worst review of all products released in 2010, and the second to last position was given to the Google TV, a product considered “chaotic” and “complicated.”
