An Evanston firefighter suffered minor injuries this morning while battling a fire involving two houses and four garages in the north suburb, officials said.
The fire broke out around 5 a.m. in the 1800 block of Laurel Avenue. Firefighters arrived to find one house and one garage fully involved. Eventually, the fire spread to a neighboring house and three other garages.
