The top movies in the list include Inception and The Social Network whereas the top dramas where tagged as Glee and The Walking Dead. According to the Associated Press; The Big C, Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Mad, Modern Family, The Pacific, Temple Grandin and 30 Rock were the best shows to be aired this year.

The list also included Mad Men which is been in the list for four years now. The best movies were listed as Black Swan, The Fighter, The Kids Are All Right, 127 Hours, The Town, Toy Story 3, True Grit and Winter’s Bone.

Along with the listed shows and movies, American Film Institute named another show which could not be included in the lists since it was a British production. AFI stated that The King’s Speech is one of the best shows aired this year. It was added that the documentary, “Waiting for Superman”, was also commendable.
