Here’s one thing Oregon Gov.-elect John Kitzhaber is doing on his Washington, D.C. trip: meeting with the diminished group of Democratic governors.
While Kitzhaber often skipped events like this his first time around as governor, he is listed as attending a gathering of the Democratic Governors Association. It’s a smaller group than it once was, having lost seven seats in the last election.
It’s not quite clear what of the events listed Kitzhaber will be at. But here’s the notice from the DGA website:
Wednesday, December 1st
12:00 – 1:30 pm * DGA Chairman’s Board Member Governors-Elect Luncheon
5:00 – 6:00 pm * Chairman’s Board Reception
5:30 – 8:30 pm * Holiday Party
