Wish List: Home Hospice of Grayson County

Home Hospice of Grayson County is a non-profit organization dedicated to the care of the terminally ill person and his or her family and to the care of those who grieve.

Donations of items listed below enable Home Hospice to practice the good stewardship for which it is known and to use resources in the best way possible in caring for patients, families and for all who grieve in the community.

Patient Christmas gift list

Large, new Christmas gift bags, new stuffed animals, candy canes and chocolate-covered cherries, new slipper socks, house shoes and pajamas, socks, undershirts, note cards and journals, Christmas candles and mugs, hot chocolate and coffee singles.

Patient care needs

Extra long deep pocket twin size sheets, baby room monitors, baby wipes, Ensure (all varieties, all flavors), Boost-high protein or Carnation Instant Breakfast, Pull ups (adult, medium or large), digital scales to enable nurses to weigh patients, inexpensive red or maroon towels, hospital gowns, pre-paid gas cards for volunteers, Bible on CD or large print Bibles to read, small drink cups with lid and hole for straw, Polyester Fiberfill (16 oz. bags for Bear Hugs), florist wire ribbon, wireless door bells, bud vases and curling ribbons, Beanie Babies stuffed animals, metal or plastic pet carriers for Pet Peace of Mind, lift chair for a current patient.

Office needs

Blue ink pens, copy paper and card stock (white and ivory in color), colored copy paper, Avery No. 5160 address labels (or equivalent), postage stamps, zip-lock bags (quart and gallon sizes), 33-gallon trash bags, tall kitchen bags, plastic eating utensils, disposable plates, cups (styrofoam or paper) bottled water for events, snacks for support groups, permanent markers, tape (scotch-type and shipping), red or green folders (no pockets) cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, 3- by 3-inch self-stick note pads, disinfectant hand soap, AAA and AA alkaline batteries, colored dessert-size paper plates, colored cocktail napkins, crock pot for the Gentle Touch program, large rolling suitcase to transport items to events.
