GLENDALE, ARIZONA — Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney today announced the Coyotes have recalled defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

In his rookie season, the 6-foot-2, 190 pound Ekman-Larsson has played 14 games with the Coyotes, collecting 3 assists and 12 penalty minutes. Ekman-Larsson has also played 4 games with the Rampage, registering 2 assists and 4 penalty minutes.
The 19-year-old native of Karlskrona, Sweden was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (6th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
The Coyotes also announced today that center Kyle Turris has been placed on the club’s injured reserve list retroactive to Friday, November 19. Turris suffered an upper-body injury during last Friday’s game versus the Edmonton Oilers and is listed as week to week.
