Selanne
Ducks winger Teemu Selanne is listed as day-to-day with a sore groin and is questionable for tomorrow night’s game vs. the Edmonton Oilers at Honda Center.
Selanne left midway through the third period of last night’s 4-3 loss to Columbus at Honda Center and did not return to the game. He also did not practice on the ice today with the rest of the team. This afternoon he told reporters that he felt something in the groin last night and decided to leave the game rather than aggravate it further.
“We have to be smart about it,” he said.
After tomorrow night’s game, the Ducks don’t play again until Friday afternoon vs. Chicago at Honda Center.
Before leaving the game last night, Selanne assisted on Saku Koivu‘s goal early in the second period that tied the game 1-1. Selanne has eight goals and 14 assists in 22 games this season, ranking him 13th in the league in scoring.
