Listed firms post B435bn net profit

The companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) posted a total net profit of 435.62 billion baht over the first nine months of the year, SET president Charamporn Jotikasathira said.

The total net profit increased 32.41 per cent from 329 billion baht reported for the same period last year, he added.

Net profit of listed firms in the third quarter of the year was up 25.17 per cent from the same quarter last year to  151.53 billion baht, said Mr Charamporn.

A total of 375 listed companied had posted a net profit, while another 90 reported net loses, according to the SET president.

The top five companies that made highest net profit are PTT, PTT Exploration and Production, Siam Cement, BANPU and Bangkok Bank.
