Benefit Breakfast, Silent Auction and Bake Sale to benefit Cindy Clark: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Minot. Clark, director of religious education at St. Leo’s, was diagnosed with two fractured vertebrae in her neck and had surgery to repair and rebuild them. She will need months of physical therapy before she can return to work and other activities. The breakfast will include pancakes, biscuits and sausage gravy, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee. The benefit is sponsored by the Minot Knights of Columbus Council 9906, St. Monica’s Guild and St. Leo’s youth groups. A freewill offering will be accepted.
Free weekly soup kitchen (breakfast): 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Congregational United Church of Christ basement, east door, 430 N. Broadway.
The Minot Area Theatrical Society will present three one-act plays in “An Evening of One-Acts.” Admission is free. Proceeds from a freewill donation benefit the Jan Nelson family of Minot: 2 p.m., Vegas Motel, Minot. Reservations are not required.
The Brass Band of Minot will present a Thanksgiving/Christmas concert: 4 p.m., Minot State University’s Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. The concert is free and open to the public but donations will be accepted.
The Minot Heritage Singers, Voices of Note and the choirs of Minot State University invite local high school singers and other interested area singers to join in rehearsing Handel’s “Messiah”: Rehearsal times are Sunday and Nov. 28 and Dec. 2, all at 7 p.m. in Minot State University’s Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. A dress rehearsal will be Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. The performance will be Dec. 5 at 4 p.m. in Ann Nicole Nelson Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.
